Eyeline Privacy Policy

Effective 29 September 2026

Eyeline is a virtual reality game for Meta Quest headsets, made by Sharkear (“we”). This policy explains what information the game uses and where it goes. In short, everything you enter stays on your headset, and we receive none of it.

What stays on your headset

To remember who is playing and how they like to play, Eyeline stores the following in the game's own storage on your headset:

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else by the game. Removing a player in the game deletes that player's name, settings and progress. Past scores stay in the local leaderboard files, no longer linked to any player. Uninstalling Eyeline deletes all of it.

If you use your headset's cloud backup, Meta may back up the game's storage with your other app data. That backup is handled by Meta under Meta's privacy policy.

Checking that you own the game

When Eyeline starts, it asks your headset's Meta software whether the Meta account signed in to the headset owns the game, or is in its free trial. Meta answers yes or no, and the game closes if the answer is no. The check is handled by Meta under Meta's privacy policy. Eyeline does not read, store or send your Meta user ID, name or any other account detail.

What we do not collect

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The player names typed into the game never leave the headset.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If a future version of the game starts collecting any information, this policy will say so before that version is released.
